In accordance with Indonesian Independence Day in August, FRii Bali Echo Beach in collaboration with THE HAVEN Bali Seminyak, THE HAVEN SUITES Bali Berawa and ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠Fontana Hotel Bali, a PHM Collection, under PHM Hospitality will be conducting the “Canggu Fun Run 2017” on Sunday, August 20th, 2017, as the sequel of the first event last year.


The main purpose of this event is for promoting Canggu area. Using the theme of heritage this year, the runners which are divided into male and female category will dress-up with their preference styles with heritage/traditional touch.


Around 300 runners are expected to be joining this 5K fun run. Together they will rove around Canggu through the rice fields, beaches, mural art wall, cafes & restaurants, temples, and local residents in a fun way.


During the event, in addition to the 5K fun run, you will have the opportunity to win the door prize, participate in the auction, contribute to the bazaar, try to win the Best Instagram Photo competition, and dance Zumba all together. You will also have the chance to donate new stuffs or vouchers which will be sold at the lowest price to increase funds as the charity for Semara Putra Klungkung Orphanage.


The event will start and finish precisely Canggu Beach, from 6:00 to 10:00 AM. The registration starts from 20 July to 15 August with IDR 100,000 (pre-sale) and IDR 150,000 (normal) from August 16th to August 18th at 6:00 am. All participants will receive an exclusive race pack including t-shirt to be worn on the day.

Tanah Lot temple is a Hindu temple that has a stunning natural beauty, it stands on solid sea rock and Tanah Lot at sunset time is the best view that can be enjoyed when visiting this one of the famous tourist attraction in Bali. Tanah Lot temple is one of the very sacred temples in Bali Island.
Tanah Lot is derived from the word “Tanah” means land and “Lot (lod / laut)” which means the sea, because it is situated on a rock in the sea and resembles a small island floating on the sea, so the people call it TANAH LOT, Tanah Lot temple is located at Beraban village, Kediri disctrict, Tabanan regency, on the south coast of Bali island, approximately 25 kilometers from Denpasar city. Pura Tanah Lot is situated on a large coral rock overlooking to the Indian Ocean. Tanah Lot is a Hindu shrine built to worship the God in its manifestation as the God of the sea (God Baruna) to invoke prosperity, and the balance of sea and earth.

Tanah Lot temple ceremony is held every 210 days (6 months) and according to the Balinese calendar the anniversary of Tanah Lot temple is held on the Buda Wage Langkir, four days after Kuningan Day. Before entering the temple, the prayers must first pray at Beji Kaler, Beji Kaler is a sacred spring which is located just below the Tanah Lot temple, before the prayers go to the main temple they must pray in advance here and drink the holy water of this spring in order their souls to be cleaned and sanctified before entering and praying in the main temple. During the ritual in Tanah Lot temple, Balinese people would come to pray and even some of them also come from several regions in Indonesia. The festival will take place (nyejer) for 3 days.
Tanah Lot is a very famous tourist destination in the world and it’s one of the best attractions in Bali Island, every day Tanah Lot visited by thousands of visitors both domestic and foreign tourists. Very recommended and best time to visit Tanah Lot is when the sunset time starting at around 4.00 PM until 7.00 PM, for those who love photography at this time is golden hour or magic hour and if the weather is good we can capture an amazing sunset and enjoy unforgettable spectacular and astonishing sundown sight. Taman Ayun Temple

Bali Taman Ayun Temple is situated in Mengwi Village of Badung District, around 18 km to the west of Denpasar. It is a very beautiful temple, as the name tells (Taman Ayun means temple in a beautiful garden). In addition to its beauty, Taman Ayun Temple is also considered to have historical values, which makes the regional government of Bali suggests the UNESCO in 2002 that this temple is included in World Heritage List.

Taman Ayun Temple is a Mother Temple (Paibon) to Mengwi Kingdom. This temple was built by Mengwi King, I Gusti Agung Putu, in the Javanese year of 1556 (1634 AD). Initially, I Gusti Agung Putu built a temple to the north of Mengwi village to the worship of his ancestors. The temple was named Genter Park. When Mengwi grew into a big kingdom, I Gusti Agung Putu moved Genter Park eastward and expands the compound. The expanded temple was officially declared Taman Ayun Temple on Kliwon Tuesday – Medangsia the fourth month in the Javanese year of 1556. Until today, each Kliwon Tuesday of wuku Medangsia in Javanese calendar (Saka), a piodalan (ceremony) is held in this temple to celebrate the temple’s anniversary.
The outer court Taman Ayun Temple, also known as Jaba, is situated at the outer side of the pool. There is a bridge over the pool to connect the outer court to the inner ones. At the end of the bridge, on the inner court side, there is a Bentar gate followed by a pathway leading to the inner courts. There are two giant statues at each end of the bridge.
At the left side of the pathway Taman Ayun Temple, near the gate, there is some sort of a small guardhouse. Here, at the first inner court, there is a Wantilan (a sort of hall) at which some ceremonies usually take place, including a cockfight, which is also part the ritual ceremonies at the temple. There is a pathway lying across the first inner court and dividing it into two parts, connecting the gate into the first inner court to the one into the second inner court. To the southwest, there is a round gazebo at which one can have a rest and enjoy the beauty of the temple. There is a pond near the gazebo covered with water lilies. Right at the center of the pond, there is a small post that sprinkles water to nine different directions. To the east, there is a cluster of small temples called Luhuring Purnama Temples.
There is a gate at the end of the pathway Taman Ayun Temple dividing the first inner court into two. The gate leads to the second inner court, which is situated on a higher ground than the first one. Across from the gate, on the second inner court, there is a building functioning as a partition. The partition Taman Ayun Temple decorated with relief sculpture depicting nine guardian gods of compass points.

Gunung Batur comprises three volcanic cones: Batur I, Batur II, and Batur III. Trekking and hiking as well as observing the sunrise are all popular pastimes. Batur caldera on the northwest of Gunung Batur is one of the biggest and most beautiful in the world. Caldera II is circular-shaped, with a diameter of at least seven kilometres.

The view is the main reason to come here. Surrounded by the captivating nature of Mount Batur, you will find plenty more reasons to linger in the crater itself, and be sure to also take in the joyous winding road along the lake shore to Toya Bungkah, Pura Ulan Danu Batur, or even the hot springs.

Gua Gajah – Elephant Cave

Gua Gajah (Elephant Cave) is located in west side of Bedulu countryside, Blah Batuh Sub district and Gianyar Regency. It is about 27 km from Denpasar town. This cave is built at crevasse edge from the federation of 2 rills that is called Pangkung River, where the irrigation is mixed with Petanu River flow. The federation area of two rivers is called Campuhan/Mixture. It owns the magical energy on the basis of Rwabineda Concept/two different matters on this basic concept hence Gua Gajah (Elephant Cave) is intentionally built among two rivers.

Goa Gajah’s name is slightly misleading, lending the impression that it’s a gigantic dwelling full of elephants. Nevertheless, Goa Gajah ‘Elephant Cave’ is an archaeological site of significant historical value that makes it a special place to visit.

Even though the site’s name translates into ‘Elephant Cave’, you won’t find any pachyderms here. Various theories suggest the origin of the name, such as back in time the Petanu River was originally called ‘Lwa Gajah’, meaning the ‘River Gajah’, before it came to be called Petanu River. Other sources state that the ‘Gajah’ or elephant aspect came from the stone figure inside the cave depicting the Hindu lord Ganesh, who is characterized by an elephant’s head.

Ancient inscriptions also allude to the name Antakunjarapada, which roughly translates to ‘elephant’s border’. The cave’s entrance shows a menacing giant face with its wide open mouth as the door. Various motifs depicting the forest and animals are carved out of the outer rock face. The giant face was considered to be that of an elephant’s.
